Computer Challenge
-- Information Technology Provider Track The Computer Challenge's UFCN track was designed in collaboration with the Office of Public Relations and a number of other offices on campus including NERDC, the Center for Instructional Technology and Training, University Personnel Services and others. It is designed to help UF's professional communicators use computer resources and the World Wide Web more effectively. How it Works: You must take a minimum of seven (7) courses to earn certification. At least one course must be a self-paced (e.g., NETg) course. You must complete all seven courses within 18 months of taking the first course. You can achieve multiple certificates if you wish, depending on your needs. (You do not need to repeat Core courses.) Some courses are offered by multiple resources. Choose the one that is best for you. You may get credit for only one item per topic (row). Generalist Certificate: You must take all Core courses in your option of choice, then Electives from any category. You can mix categories. Specialist Certificate: You must take all Core courses in your option of choice, then take Electives from the same category (e.g., Networking). Customized Certificate: See the individual requirements for your group below (e.g., UFCN). For more information about courses, see the following links:
